"Of course," the merchant answered, resisting the urge to snatch the scroll out of the elf's hand and instead taking it calmly. He paused, as if thinking of something more to say, but in the end he turned and left in silence, hurrying after the rest of the party.
It was a simple matter to find them - Castus' voice boomed loud enough to wake the dead (although the bard shuddered inwardly at the thought), and he slipped into their midst as quietly as possible, hoping the male paladin wouldn't notice his presence.
"Hey, psst," he hissed quietly, tapping Terrwyn on the shoulder with the scroll. "Psst, this is for you."

The merchant flinched back at the paladin's words, deciding abruptly that he had no desire to be gutted.
"It's from our patron," he said, cautiously. "I assume he meant for you to open it. He said that it should help with the search."

Terrwyn: The scroll he hands you is from Lord Baequimitore. It contains an Aid spell to use in a tough situation. It is rolled around a new wand of Cure light Wounds. With further examination of the wand you notice that attached to it is a small ornamental charm in the shape of a key. It seems oddly familiar to one you saw on a necklace of Daesi's. Aside from it's sentimental value it is non-magical and is purely decorative.
Whole Party: Now that Merrik has caught up with the rest of you, you all now follow Castus to the same set of ruins you explored in the previous night. Castus cautions Addrarcyn about the undead sighted previously as you make your way back down the dark stairs to the first landing. Castus and Addrarcyn each grab torches from the wall brackets before you plunge deeper into the dungeon. Setting down the long stair case you all soon find yourselves in the room where you last saw the sorceress. Free of combat, you take the time to properly examine the room. There are two paths before you. Both are dark. A through search reveals fresh footprints leading down the left path.

Addrarcyn eyes grow wide at Castus's word as his hand slips to his plainly wrapped grip of his sword as he speaks, "Then our task is even more important for it is our duty to put these poor creatures out of their misery We must allow their souls to venture on to their final rest."

Addrarcyn's human eyes unable to see produces a bullseye lantern along with some flint and steel. Taking care not to blind the others he adjusts the lens 60-foot cone of bright illumination. Releasing the peace bond on his sword he smiles as he says. "Well we didn't get dressed up for nothing."

((OOC: Sorry for the derp guys.....))
The footprints you have found are all human in shape, and there are about two sets pointing further down the hallway. Also it appears as if something (or someone) had been dragged down the hall as well. Deciding to follow the trail, the party departs to the left. Delving deeper into the ruins you all discover that indeed the ruins are that of an old catacomb, left to crumble through the ages. With your provided illumination you can make out shallow shelves carved into the hallway walls. Fragments of human remains are littered about as if they have been disturbed recently. No complete skeletons can be found, a fact that is somewhat troubling given the appearance of necromancers and undead in these parts. After some time winding your way about in the corridors you reach a 20 foot square room with a large ornate sepulcher in the center of the room. The room is decorated as if an important noble was laid to rest there. In a corner of the room you are shocked to find your two missing comrades laying on the floor, bound and gagged.

Terrwyn walked down following the drag marks>Are they from our fallen comrades? most likely said the little voice in her head, seeing as not many people go into catacombs. The skeletons she walked past were barely more then dust and a few important bones. the sculls grinned wicked up at her and she felt the eyes of the rats which were thin rats, follow her every move like she was walking food. hungrey are they? When she entererd the sepulcher, it was very ornate and had more wealth in it than the churches of the four goddesses combined. Her eyes immediately fell on the bound and gagged Nia and Mira (sorry its what i remember of cat girl) and she felt bad that they were in this condition.

Addrarcyn's hand still rests on the handle of his great sword notices the two people laying on the floor, bound and gagged and Terrwyn's reaction. "This is feels wrong." Addrarcyn says to no one in particular drawing his sword he scans the room looking for another way in. "Where are the guards?"
Moving his to the far right corner Addrarcyn keeps alert for deep down in his gut he knew it was only a matter of time.
