Sorry Dark, meant to have this sooner but my Mondays and Tuesdays are usually busy so I didn't get around to this till now.
Anywho... this is your write in so after this you can start posting on the latest prompt with the rest of us. Most of this is just gonna be rough background as to what your character has been doing up to this point. His personality is still up to you.
Addrarcyn Gegwyn: Male Human Fighter
Addrarcyn hails from the grand city of Therfis, the capital of one of the strongest kingdoms in the world. Therfis is a major city built on learning and technology.
You have been training to become a Therfis city guard for most of your life. Five years ago your aptitude with your weapons as well as your courage and bravery landed you in the coveted position of one of King Cerdic's Loyal guards.
It hasn't been an easy path. Cerdic is a progressive king, one who wants to leave the old ways of fear and superstition in the past which has rubbed many nobles the wrong way. More then anything Cerdic is a scholar and not a politician the way his father was, and his love of learning has brought the kingdom in a new direction, that some say is disastrous.
Recently Cerdic has welcomed an Elven Priest and sage named Thoqueisarath Baequimitore into his inner circle of advisers. Therfians hold an odd hatred of elven kind and the magic that they wield. It is an ancient fear, and one that just won't go way over night. It seems as if Cerdic's attempts at reconciling the differences between the two races are falling on deaf ears.
And it seems that with recent events that the rift may just grow even deeper.
A week ago the King recieved a report of a supposed incursion by a ghastly band of horrors in the Therfian Outlands. Fingers at once were pointed at the elven kingdom which shares a border with Therfis. Determined to prove that the undead are instead summoned by the Drow- Cerdic has set out with a band of nobles and his guards to investigate.
There have been a few encounters with the undead along the way, and also a band of travelers loyal to Lord Baequimitore has shown up as well. They have stated their goal as hunting the undead as well, and since they were vital to saving the King's entourage from attack, the king has asked them to stay. You are curious about these travelers, and of Lord Baequimitore himself, but your duties to Cerdic have kept you from investigating.
Last night another report came in from a nearby village of more undead. The King left in the morning to investigate. You wished to join your comrades but Cerdic asked you and a few others to stay at the camp and protect his lordship, as his own group left in the night to investigate a set of ruins not far from the camp.
You are rather disappointed at getting left behind, and those who are with you are rather vocal about having to "Babysit the friggin' elves." You decide to go off and walk the perimeter of the camp.
Around noon his Lordship's party returns looking rather haggard and carrying a wounded member. More than an hour later, one of the members approaches you, a human paladin by the name of Castus.
He explains that while in the ruins they had become separated for each other and had run-in with a sorcerer of some power and were forced to leave two lost comrades behind to save the wounded. He asks if you would perhaps like to accompany him on a search party.
