Character Name: Mirasinera Falling Leaves
Nickname: Mira
Race: Catfolk
Age: 18
Sex: Female
Patron Goddess Lafrusa
Gift: N/A
Weapons: A rowan longbow and quarterstaff.
Occupation/Class: Druid
Appearance: A thin lanky being with silvery white skin dotted with black spots resembling those of a snow leopard. Her eyes are a startling ice blue with a thin veil of mist settled in front of them. Dark gray hair falls to the small of her back when it is not kept in a braid. Mirasinera's clothing consists of loose deerskin skirts and tunics. She also wears a leather cord necklace with an embroidered leaf hanging off it. The necklace was a gift from her mother.
Personality: Despite her disability, Mira is not in the least bit shy. She is very enthusiastic and outgoing and quick to make friends. Hating the feeling of those in great pain, Mirasinera will try to ease it in any way possible. Unless she knows she cannot. She is rarely angry or sad, but when she is, she shows it in an almost explosive way.
Very inquisitive, Mira listens to everything around her, pausing at the simplest of sounds. She loves to listen and the sounds of the forest are like music to her. Music is something that she loves deeply and a good tune is liable to make her pause, if only for a moment, to see if she has heard it before.
She is very optimistic, feeling that even in the worst of situations something good has to happen. Even when everyone else around her is gloomy and fearing the worst, she tries to shine a bright light on the situation.
Her blindness seems not to hamper her in any way, except that she is slower than most of her kind. In fact she seems to be comfortable in most conditions. She knows though that she would hate being off the ground.
Mirasinera, of course, loves nature and animals and it is one of the reasons she is a druid. She looks to keep nature at balance and cleanse the world of the plague that still runs through it.
History: Mirasinera Falling Leaves was born without the use of her eyes. But other than that she was a very healthy baby. She grew up among others her age learning the same things they did. Just in different ways. When her tribemates were learning to hunt and shoot by sight, Mira learned through sound, smell and vibration. Even so her archery was as good as any other of her age and those who had doubted her ability to survive on her own felt more at ease about her chances as an adult.
She showed an aptitude toward magic not long after she learned to shoot without seeing her target. When the druid of the tribe saw this Mira was taken as her apprentice. The young catfolk learned quickly, grasping each concept with the ease of someone who already had some idea of what she was doing.
When she called her animal companion, it was an eagle that answered her call. His name was Tsarr. He became a pair of eyes for her, when she really wanted to know what the world really looked like.
When she turned seventeen she decided to roam for a while with a select group from the tribe. They traveled far from the rest of the tribe and encountered many enemies on the way. She lost a few of the people who came with her along the way. One to drow poison, another to a group of undead and the last, well, he just went missing. Now she is simply looking for a place to relax and to find a place for her tired men to stay. She fears if they travel any longer they may face the same fate as the other three. And she knows that nothing she could do at the moment would help.
