"Thank you Merric! Anyone else hungry? Lets see i smell mutton stew and fresh bread, and i think apple pie", said Terrwyn as she waved a waitress over and ordered for them all.
"You all are going to eat, who knows when our last hot meal well be. And Daesi are you paying or are we all paying are own?", asked Terrwyn she that Merric's goblet empty she passed him the spiced wine decanter, wrinkling her knows at the strong smell of cinnamon.

Mutton stew! The merchant's hand immediately vanished into his robes, reappearing to drop a handful of coins on the table. "Excellent choice!" He approved gladly. "And I would not expect to have my food bought for me."
He reached for the wine and served himself, with a mental note that perhaps this should be his last glass for now.

(OOC: sorry I've been a bit derpy lately... spend my entire afternoon aimlessly driving around Torrington because the home invaders were here today and now I'm like ridiculously tired.....
There must be rain coming Daesi thought as he felt a slight twinge... Speaking of secrets....Damn can't think about that now.
He must have zoned out for the smell of food arriving brought him back to the present.
"Well now that you two are here I have a bit of a favor to ask of you two, or three if Merrik would like to join us," Daesi announced. "I just received news of a credible threat against the king. We need to gather our supplies and leave tomorrow. If we're lucky we can intercept them before anything happens."

Threat? King? Politics, especially of a dramatic nature, had always held a certain amount of interest for Merrik. He opened his mouth to answer, then thought again and closed it, leaning back in his seat, stew temporarily forgotten.
"Leave? Intercept?...I, er, hate to sound ignorant, but what do you mean? By 'we', surely you're referring to the city guard, and not just the three of you?" He tried not to stare at Daesi incredulously. "Unless, of course, your 'them' refers to an individual..."

Terrwyn said a quick blessing to Sophia her patron and to Gaia for providing the stew. Than she tore into it. After finishing two bowls of stew, bread, and 2 slices of apple pie with cream she pushed her trencher back with a happy content sigh. Than her shoulder made its pain known to her. Damn!
"well Daesi, i have all my gear and i didn't see Nia's when i left so i assume she has her own. I'm ready to go when you are. But first i have to re-bandage my shoulder. she excused her self and headed to the privy. She returned 6 minutes later smelling strongly of ginger. She waved a maid over and ordered a pot of hot water for tea and four cups. than Terrwyn took out a canister of tea and let it seep in the hot water for a bit. Soon she started to smell lavender and lemon balm wafting up from the pot.
She poured herself a cup than looked to her companions "Tea anyone, lemon balm and lavender, a nice soothing relaxful tea"?

His eyebrows went up as the paladin left the table. "Gods be good, you lot are serious."
And stark mad, from the look of it.
Merrik fell back to his dinner, contemplating until she returned. Truth be told, this sounded intriguing, and as long as he remained watchful and ready to flee, surely it couldn't be all that dangerous.
He hoped.
"Well, I've got some light armor of my own, not much, and a blade - one can't be too prepared on the roads- but they're back at my room. Bad for business to dress like you're out for a fight." He paused. "Do you suppose there would actually be a fight?"

"Unfortunately we are dead serious," Daesi replied. "I happen to be a member of the Sacred Order of the Moon Lily, a group of Quessir loyalists sworn to uphold the tender balance of peace in this city. Our foes are The Nameless Ones, a group with their eyes set on things which are not theirs to have. The current King is progressive, a lover of the arcane, and one of the few friends of Quessir here in this city. We have many reasons to want things to stay the way they are now. If you aide us, I know a few individuals that might be able to help you with your magic problem."

The merchant stared openly at Daesi for a few moments, then rose abruptly to his feet. He downed the remainder of his wine in one swallow, eyes watering, then put the glass down none-too-gently.
"Seems I've got a way of stumbling into trouble recently. Well," he fumbled with his cloak, throwing it over his shoulders, "if you give me your word that you'll try to help me, then I'll help you - I am, at least, a man who understands the concept of a trade. The gods only know what sort of trouble my situation will bring you, anyway."
He gave a slight, curt bow. "I'll be off, then, to get my things - you have my word that I'll return. Should I meet you three back here, or elsewhere?"

"You can meet me back at my house, in the elven quarter near the university. Just tell the guards outside the gate that you're a merchant and they'll let you right in. My residence is the one with the lily garden in the front," Daesi replied.
He didn't like being so upfront with demands of asking strangers to fight for him. But those he worked for demaned proof of service to the Quessir people before they even let outsiders near those at top. And Daesi had a sinking feeling that the one that would be most able to help in any arcane situation would be his master- Lord Baequimitore.

"Where did Merrik go?", Terrwyn asked when she noticed the merchant was missing. A yawn escaped her before she could stifle it. She was getting sleepy.
"Where we gonna sleep?", Terrwyn asked Daesi as she poured herself a third cup of tea.

"You can sleep out in the street if you wish. I'd assume Nia and I are going to return to the shop." Daesi joked. "Merrik went to grab his things he'll meet us at the store in the morning."

"I hate you Daesi. Next time when you need a place to stay don't come to me. Other than that can we go now i am about to fall asleep, and i probably way more than you do, so I don't think you want to end up carrying me home", said Terrwyn her jaws cracking in another yawn.

"You are such a round ear, isn't she Nia?" Daesi replied. "I supose then we have to get you home then eh?"
