"Good, Good," the King replied.
He then joined the rest of his entourage in examining of the corpses.
"You see sire, this is why I told you the elves couldn't be trusted! Here, they attack us after you've been so generous," one of the nobles said.
"They are not elves per-say," the cloaked cleric retorted. "Call them a bastard cousin if you wish, but we hardly consider the drow our kin despite a shared ancestry. I implore you not to color an entire race by the depravity of a few outliers that shun the light of day."
"So you admit that they are of your blood."
"Please stop insulting my honored guest," the King interrupted. "Lord Baequimitore, would you mind attending to the injured?"
"Yes sire, it would be my pleasure."
The cloaked man made his way over towards the group surrounding the injured paladin, taking easy and measured steps. When he reached them he removed his hood and knelt down with a hand to Terrwyn's injured shoulder.
"Are you alright dear?" he asked, his voice kind.
A warm glow began to radiate from the cleric's hand as the healing spell took effect. The mid afternoon shown down causing the man's long silver hair and elven features to glow slightly.
Daesi got up from his kneel and walked over to the group waiting just behind the cleric.

Sensing that the formalities were on hold, Merrik rose smoothly to his feet, adjusting his armor. He leveled a steady glance at Daesi, wondering if the elf was upset with him.
Well, there'd be enough time to straighten out the who-what-and-why later on. The bard was not about to start talking about conspiracies in front of all the king's men. Daesi could explain it later, if he saw fit.
In the meantime, Merrik was content to act as party spokesperson. As long as the party didn't demand retribution for the obligation he'd just saddled them with.
His situation was becoming more complex by the moment, however. Posing as a human subject of Therfis, now something of a king's guard, in addition to being a merchant and a bard - gods have mercy, he prayed he'd be able to keep it all straight.

Terrwyn looked up from in her haze of pain as she leaned on Nia, at the cloaked person's voice. he was an elf and he had silver hair, and she couldn't make out his eye color because her eyes were forced into slits with pain and exhaustion.
"I am in great pain and in need of a nap and a nice decent cup of tea but other than that my Lord, i am fine. I am Terrwyn a knight of Sophia, and you are my Lord?" Terrwyn replied in a bare whisper.
The elf put his hand gently on Terrwyn's shoulder and closed his eyes in concentration. His hand glowed and Terrwyn started to feel the pain numb. She gritted her teeth at the feel of her flesh knitting together and suddenly he was done. Her shoulder still hurt but not as much as before.
Terrwyn held out her hand to the Elf "Thank you my Lord. I feel much better now. Would you like some tea. Its made of sage and lavender, with melissa in it", Terrwyn asked him.

"I am Lord Baequimitore high priest of Lunniea, but you can call me Kerrou. Don't worry about tea m'lady, you just concentrate on resting for now. When we make camp I will make you tea," he replied turning to Daesi. "Please make her comfortable, she can ride in my carriage over there. Thank you sir Daesi for coming to our aide."
"My pleasure m'lord," the elf replied with a bow before bending over and hoisting Terrwyn up by her shoulders, being careful not to stress the tender part.
"If some one would help me move the bodies to one area I can dispose of them before they fall into the wrong hands," Lord Baequimitore announced.

"Ok. Why thank you Daesi dear. I can lean on my staff now.", said Terrwyn, grining as Daesi helped her.

"I can handle the dead," Castus offered, stepping forward to collect the vanquished drow. This was familiar business to him - standard for someone so used to battle.
As respectfully as possible, he collected the corpses into a pile and muttered a prayer to his god. He assumed they would be burned later, after the nobles had camped, so that the stench of burning flesh would not offend them.

Terrwyn carefully walked oved over to the carriage while Castus took care of the dead. She leaned on the side of it and nibbled on some mint leaves and also some jerky and dried fruit. Than her lids started to shut and Terrwyn slowly curled herself up on the ground fast asleep.

Nia decided to simply ignore Daesi's comment. If he was gonna be rude when she was simply trying to help, why should she even bother. She watched Terrwyn and Kerrou curiously. Never having been any good at healing and the like, the healing arts fascinated her.
When Terrwyn fell asleep on the ground Nia went over and poked at her. "Hey Terrwyn, Terrwyn. Now's not a good time to sleep."
