Character Name: Prince Kerruanna, also known by the name and title Lord Thoqueisarath Baequimitore. In the community he is affectionately known as Kerruo.
Race: Grey Elf
Age: 120
Sex: Male
Patron God : Lunniea
Gift: Prophecy
Occupation/Class: High Priest and Prophet of Lunniea. He is also a scholar, and an avid musician.
Favored Spells: Kerrou is more of a defensive caster and uses various divination spells to help warn him of others deeds and feelings. For offensive spells he favors enchantments such as Sleep. He is also fond of enchanting various objects to do simple tasks for him so he can concentrate on his studies.
Appearance: Kerruanna was born to a high station and bears himself with all the grace that is expected from the elven race.
He has long silver hair that he keeps impeccably groomed and is known to wear it loose with a few plaits and strands of glass beads as decoration. His facial features are well defined but graceful with a pale grayish complexion and a wise look. His low-lidded eyes are a pale gold in color.
In ceremonial dress he is mostly seen wearing various shades of silver and grey. These robes are always volumous, as each piece of clothing has symbolic significance. The fabrics are rich satins and brocades, decorated with beads and embroidery in swirling designs of celestial bodies, and graceful lilies.
At rest he favors more simple robes of grey, jade, and purple and made of common woven cloth that are made for ease of movement.
Weapons: He carries with him two staffs of dark hardwood. The first, which he carries in his left hand, is carved with various religious symbols with a crescent moon at the head. This staff has been enchanted with spells to detect others intentions, and ward against evil-doers. The second staff is more of a simple walking stick that he holds loosely in his right hand so he can use it to feel out the ground in front of him.
Familiar: Kerrou is never seen with out his cat Lafrusi. She is a small white cat with a tail longer than her body and two different colored eyes: one blue the other yellow. Despite her size she is quite fierce in her protection of ‘her elf,’ and has been known to attack those with hostile intentions towards her master. Normally she can be seen sitting on Kerrou’s shoulder where she serves as a guide. She also can communicate telepathically with her master, and can use any spell he can.
Personality: Kerrou is known through out the elven community for his wisdom and kindness. He strives to be a leader of his people, and despite his fellow cleric’s wishes to shelter him, he enjoys spending time with his people. He can often be seen leading conversations and debates with those he serves. Nothing significant happens in the community with out Kerrou knowing.
The advice he gives is often kind, but he is not afraid of voicing a strong opinion when warranted. He is more likely to give out ‘tough love,’ than to give false praise.
He has a love of learning and he spends a lot of time either in his personal study or at the university. He wishes to use his knowledge to better his community and his race.
Although he is blind he never lets his lack of sight hinder him, as he has developed the keen ability to sense other’s moods and his surroundings. He hates it when others try to coddle him, although he knows he does have his limits.
Despite his upbringing, Kerrou does have a healthy sense of humor and has been known to participate in lighthearted pranks if only to lighten people’s moods.
History: Kerrou was born as the youngest son of the Elven king in Myth Lothen. As expected of his station he began studying at an early age to be both a mage and musician, both of which he excelled at. Seen as a prodigy at the tender age of 20 (for an elf anyway), his rise through the arcane ranks was lauded by his parents and the elven court.
However, he also attracted much jealousy from his older siblings, as status in the court was earned by how successful one was at the elven arts, not by age. At a party celebrating the attainment of the first circle of arcane magic, Kerrou suddenly took ill, poisoned by his own brother. He survived this illness, but was left forever blind.
He was not one to let his ailment stop him, and he continued his studies with even more fervor. Feeling forever thankful to the gods for having survived such a severe illness, he turned his attention to the study of divine magic as well, falling into deep devotion to the lord of the elven gods Lunniea. At age 30 he entered the priesthood, rising swiftly through the ranks because of both his studies and reverence. At 40 he earned the title Baequimitore (Moon Blessed) and was granted the powers of grand prophet by his god- a rare feat.
Not content to spend his days cloistered in the sacred halls of Myth Lothen, he traveled to Therfis under the protection of the human King. In Therfis he began ministering to the elven exiles forced to spend their lives amongst the human population and has begun to restore arcane power back to his brethren. As he became known for his powers and wisdom, the human King soon employed him as an advisor and a friendship between the two has blossomed.
Kerrou has been working to reconcile the rift between humans and elves, and has begun to seek the lost lore of Corrlinn Thallon in hopes that this ancient divine power might bring peace to the land.
